About Cheer Zones

Hundreds of participants are expected for the Barber Beast on the Bay 10-mile and Adapted Courses and we need your help to cheer them to the finish line!  Be part of the excitement, promote your group and maybe win a cash prize by forming a Cheer Zone!  Teams, cheerleaders, musical groups, service organizations...ANYONE can participate in the Cheer Zones!

What is the event day like? 

• The Barber Beast on the Bay takes place on Saturday, September 7, 2024 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Presque Isle
  
• Your group will be assigned a Cheer Zone area for the 10 Mile Course and a report time
• Groups will likely cheer for 3-4 hours depending on their Cheer Zone course location
• Give it your best for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $500, $300 or $200 for your group
  

Why participate?

• To support the Barber National Institute and the Barber Beast on the Bay participants
• To get involved in community service
• To fundraise and advertise for your organization- cash prizes to the top three cheer zones

How do we win?

• Get creative with your outfits and your cheers or chants to stand out from the other Cheer Zones.
• Make your Cheer Zone memorable!  The race participants vote for their favorite Cheer Zone in an online survey after the race.
  
• Make sure your group's name is clearly visible on what you wear to help the participants identify you when they vote.
