Adapted Course for Individuals with Disabilities

img_0737.jpg

Barber Beast on the Bay offers an Adapted Course for individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities to BEAT THE BEAST.

The one-mile course held at

Waldameer Park is primarily on a paved road and over 15 obstacles that involve pulling, pushing, carrying and navigating

ramps. The fully accessible adapted obstacle course coincides with the 10 Mile Challenge, as the two courses meet up for a final obstacle and participants cross the finish line all together!

All participants are welcome to have an able-bodied "course buddy" accompany them free of charge if needed and many Barber Beast on the Bay volunteers are on the course to provide assistance.  All obstacles are optional and can be completed by participants who are ambulatory or using a wheelchair, walker, etc.

Advance registration for the adapted course ends on Friday, September 1, 2024.  After that date, late registration will be offered on the morning of the event at Waldameer Park.

  • Cost is $25 and includes a Barber Beast on the Bay medal and t-shirt
  • Optional "Course Buddy"
  • Must be at least 12 years of age
